Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 8-15kts Surf / Sea State: Chop / Flat Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: sunny Max Speed: 23.98 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 18.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Another 4 star session for me, even with dramas during the day. Getting fed
up of rigging 2 sails, 2 boards and lugging them down to the beach. Wind
kicked in late but had great runs on H2 8.7 / 146L excite ride pro. Running
a 50cm MFC for 2 years now but am beginning to dislike its irritating was
of not working in swell, either gybing or working the lip in between the
swell. It always lose grip in any foam, yet a 48cm MFC free ride sail holds
great.
Tried to get to the point for a downwind burn up but too bumpy and wind
went light. The guys found a body in the sea damped the day so decided to
rig the Phantom long bd lugged it to the beach and yep the wind returned!
back to short bd. However now intend buying wheels to lug the longbd.
Gybing is coming on great - now I have totally converted to step gybes
instead of strap to strap. 3 out of 4 is now the norm instead of 50/50. The
north shoxs mast foot works a treat when slamming in the rough river mouth,
with the recoils on the 2014 model much smoother than the old one.
Sunny quite a few out with kites / windsurfing another nice Sat afternoon.
